Address by Principal Estela María Irrera de Pallaro to future generations of students

We begin each new school year with the firm purpose of educating children and the young in values enlightened by ideals that contribute to build their personality.

To achieve this, we assume the commitment to contribute to the integral formation of each one of our students, transmitting the principles of truth not only with words but also with attitudes and behavior. With the purpose of fostering in them the acquisition of a commitment of dedication to others and to the common good above group interests or, sometimes, demagogic interests that paralyze any possibility of fraternity, we try to guide them to opt for reason, patience, security and humility against arrogance and imposition. In the same sense, we guide our students to experience the strength gained through perseverance and ongoing learning in order to develop the values that allow us to remain in truth, justice and solidarity.

In the same educational spirit, we promote the development of the chosen profession, maintaining our conviction with certainty, beyond the doubts that the environment may raise, living as our vocation the urgency of self-education in a permanent process of improvement undertaken as a challenge to become increasingly better for ourselves and also for others.

We know that one educates more by what one is than by what one says and does, and that is why our words are not mere adjectives attached to the person, but rather an integral part to values-based identities. We are convinced that we are not mere functional assistance but a personalizing human presence and, for the same reason, our profession is a vital calling that leads us to know how to prudently strive to ensure that our students lead a life abundant in fundamental values.

Families and the school work together for education and the values that unite and identify us. Our aim as an institution is to promote an education that transcends from the individual to the social level, based on the pursuit of common good to improve coexistence.

The respect for cultural diversity is the foundation of our educational project, as every year we receive foreign students who transmit new knowledge, their customs, and generate a great exchange, which enriches us as people. Solidarity and commitment to our community are values that we encourage in all our students. This is always present in our daily actions, but especially through the work of the CAS students of the secondary level, who work together with the students of the different levels promoting solidarity actions that awaken empathy for those who need our help.

It is our wish to generate pleasant links and learning spaces where students feel that they can reflect, expose their concerns, talk about their worries and celebrate their achievements and joys. That is why every year we develop projects on coexistence and values in a special and systematic way among the students.

Each space is specially designed to share games and group dynamics on emotional education, conflict prevention and resolution through dialogue, active listening, etc., led by teachers and the guidance team, creating a space for reflection and encouraging mutual help, respect, appreciation of diversity and companionship.
